Mikatchu Chair

The main goal was to create a chair with complex polygonal shapes simple to manufacture and comfortable to sit. This chair was based from the original Czech Cubism, but it moves further and adds a unique lightness. The chair was inspired by walking animal and the design is balanced between comfortability, stability and esthetic. The benefit of the chair is its low weight, which makes it easy to carry the chair. Mikatchu chair consists of a white metal frame and plywood triangles that form the seat and the back. The plywood elements are bolted by worms together. This combination allows the exchange of wooden parts.
