Taj Hotel at the Palm

Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, The Palm, Dubai, is a distinctive beach resort nestled on the iconic Palm Jumeirah, the world’s largest man-made island. The contemporary elegance and underwater world inspired the vision behind the design of Taj Exotica, The Palm, Dubai.

In collaboration with Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA), we created 28 dimensional lighting fixtures located in 17 areas of the resort. The design of these lighting installations maintains a unifying impression throughout the entire resort.

There are two distinct designs for the installations within the resort: fishbone shape (26 installations) and slumped glass plates (2 installations). Both designs mimic the underwater world’s allure. For the entire project, more than 11,000 crystal components were hand-crafted. The lighting installations in fishbone shape design measure almost 700 unrolled metres.

The most expansive feature is a dynamic lighting installation, situated in the entrance lobby. It measures a remarkable 25 meters in length and 17 meters in width, creating a mesmerizing interplay of light that reflects the gentle motion of the sea.

Each of the lighting fixtures in the resort elevates the ambience and enchants guests with the captivating allure of the deep sea and underwater beauty.
